SHB names new MD

Dr. Bernd van Linder has been appointed as Saudi Hollandi Bank's Managing Director by the bank's Board of Directors. In a statement released by the bank's Chairman, Eng. Mubarak Al-Khafrah, on behalf of the bank's Board of Directors on Wednesday November 18th it was advised that Dr. van Linder had been confirmed in the post. Dr. van Linder has fulfilled this role in an acting capacity since May 2009.

Dr. van Linder, 41, joined SHB in 2006 as the bank's General Manager, Treasury. Prior to this he had worked for ABN AMRO Bank in a variety of roles.
